Building on the skills taught in TechImpact's "Data for Effective Organizations" on-demand course and their "Nonprofit Data for Beginners" live course, this three-part series will help you get your organization to the next level of data maturity. It will build your knowledge and skills in three key areas: data quality, data visualization, and data-driven decision-making.
Session 1: Data Quality
After a quick review of basic data concepts, learn why data quality can make or break your productivity and lead to better decisions, and get tips for keeping your data clean—correctly formatted, complete, accurate, and free of duplicates.
Session 2: Data Visualization
This session will be a deep dive into data visualization. We’ll cover how visualization is useful, how to decide what data to present visually, choosing the right tool and format for the situation, and when to bring in a data scientist to help you.
Session 3: Data-Driven Decision Making
Your data is complete and accurate. You have some tools and skills to analyze and share it through visualization. Now what? This session will focus on how to use data to describe what is happening, reflect on what that means, and plan and prescribe. We will share examples of using data to evaluate your work, make informed choices, and forecast.
