At the core, Storytelling and Fundraising are both about empathy, listening and connecting to community and human emotion. We don’t give money simply because someone asked; we give to charitable causes because we were told a story, and we saw our life and our hopes in that story.

In this course, you will learn:

  • How to identify your Why, and how do you tell your story
  • How staff and volunteers can connect their hearts to the mission, build their own stories of their causes, and translate them into action:
  • How to engage others to care, to give time or treasure, and to recruit others.
  • How to translate your mission’s message into paths that are both personal (1:1 meetings) and digital, from in-person events to online media and beyond.
  • How to use authentic storytelling to build a Major Gifts program
