Family & Children's Place based in Southern Indiana is looking to hire a full-time Family Advocate to provide case management services to children and their families. This human services position earns competitive pay of $17.44 - $19.00 and a sign-on bonus of $300. We also offer great benefits, including medical, dental, vision, a 403(b) plan, paid time off (PTO), vacation time, paid sick time, up to 10 paid holidays, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FAMILY ADVOCATE

As a Family Advocate in the Child Advocacy Center, you play a key role in providing case management for children and families. You serve as an advocate for child victims of sexual abuse and other forms of child maltreatment as well as their non-offending family members to help them navigate trauma and heal. In addition, you provide crisis intervention and information that will benefit the individual you're working with. When needed, you offer referral services, so your clients are aware of the different resources that are available to them. You approach each case with compassion and empathy to ensure the children and families you work with feel comfortable around you. Being able to make a direct, positive impact on the lives of your clients brings you great fulfillment and motivates you to put forth your best effort each day in this social work position!


Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FAMILY ADVOCATE

  • Bachelor's degree 1 year experience in case management working with families & children
  • Ability to pass a background check as well as a child abuse and neglect check upon hire
  • Willingness to take a drug test, TB screening, and fingerprint screening upon hire
  • Current Covid-19 vaccination
